missingWrote a review on Nov 24value-to-price ratiotv barely worked
It was just a balanced option for a couple of nights in Bakersfield with great value-to-price ratio. The TV barely worked, but I didn't mind too much since I just needed a place to crash. Make sure to check your room thoroughly before settling in.

My experience at Hourglass Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection was quite positive. The room was impeccably clean and nicely furnished. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful pool and hot tub, which provided a great way to unwind after a long day. Access to multiple entrances minimized the need to traverse through the lobby, making my comings and goings very convenient. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
The only downside was that the walls were a bit thin, making outside noise audible.

Just a reliable pick for a short break in Bakersfield with fantastic value for money. The carpets were stained and there were ants in the shower.

This was an optimal selection for getting around Bakersfield with good price value. The complimentary breakfast had waffles and eggs which were a nice surprise. Try to request a room with a balcony for a better view.

would definitely come back here
The room had air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. I liked the refrigerator and microwave for snacks. There’s free Wi-Fi, and the bathroom came with good-quality toiletries. The pool area was clean and nice. Plus, the fitness center was a bonus for burning off some calories.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
The Standard King Room was decent, and the water pressure was great. While the pool was closed, the view was nice, and the front desk staff helped us switch rooms promptly, which was appreciated. I'd recommend confirming room details on arrival for a smoother experience.

missingWrote a review on Sept 22warm cookiepool vieweffective air conditioningnoisy unitdated areaslimited breakfast
I enjoyed my time at Hourglass Hotel. The pool area looked nice and inviting, perfect for relaxing. The check-in process was quick, and the staff greeted me with a warm cookie, which was a sweet touch. My room had a lovely view of the pool, and the air conditioning was effective in keeping the room cool. However, I faced several issues. The air conditioning unit was noisy and located far from the bed, making it hard to sleep comfortably. I also had trouble with the TV setup and never managed to figure it out. Some areas felt slightly dated, needing attention, especially the breakfast options, which were quite limited and not up to par for the price.

missingWrote a review on Sept 16beautiful poolspacious roomscomfortable sleepingmediocre breakfast
The pool area is large and well-landscaped, making it a perfect hangout for families. The rooms are spacious, providing comfortable sleeping arrangements for a relaxing stay.
The breakfast offerings are a letdown, mostly consisting of gas station snacks rather than a fulfilling meal. Room maintenance clearly needs attention. issues such as unpleasant odors and mold around the air conditioning units are not what you'd expect. Additionally, the lack of an elevator makes it inconvenient for those needing easier access, especially on upper floors. I encountered some frustrations with the television reception and key card malfunctions, necessitating multiple trips to the front desk to get them sorted out.

missingWrote a review on Jun 25great locationfun game roomlaundry facilitiesdirty carpet
Had a fantastic time here with friends! We explored the Buck Owens Crystal Palace and caught a show at the Fox Theater. The laundry facilities were super handy, and we loved hanging out at the game room. Just a heads up, breakfast was pretty basic, so grab snacks for the morning.
One downside was the dirty carpet and mold around the air conditioner in one of the rooms I heard about. Definitely not what you want for a comfy stay.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
